The largest Croatian supermarket has started accepting cryptocurrency as payment

CROATIA

One of the largest supermarkets in Croatia, Konzum, offers payment for purchases with cryptocurrency. Today it is the only trading platform in the country where such a function is implemented. At the moment, you can pay for purchases with cryptocurrency only in the online store, but the administration guarantees the availability of the option in the near future for purchases in offline outlets.

Cryptocurrencies that can be used to pay: in addition to the popular Bitcoin and Etherum, BCH, Stellar, USDT, DAI, USDC, Ripple, Tether are also accepted for payment.

Given the volatility of prices for digital assets, the rate will be set at the time of the purchase. The buyer is offered enough time to navigate the prices, depending on the exchange rate, and confirm or cancel the payment.

Konzum is a supermarket chain popular in the Western Balkans. Today, the company’s stores operate in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
